Performance Characteristics:
High purity and pale colour: It can be directly made into or mixed
into epoxy resin products with different colours as desired.
Low viscosity: Processing properties such as casting, filling and
sealing, and impregnating are good. A large amount of filling agent
can be added when casting is underway so as to make the cured compound
perform well.
It is stable in performance and has a low freezing point. It has a
long service life and can be stored at room temperature enduringly.
Low volatility and low toxicity. The loss on heating is low, and its
toxicity is only as 5% to 2.5% as the toxicity of amine curing agents.
Good mutually soluble performance. The product can be mutually soluble
with all epoxy resins, and the viscosity on mixing is low. At the
same time, when the mixture system is heated for curing, it shows
a low contraction percentage.
This product is a new-type of fine chemical product, which is essential
to electronics, electromechanical industries. It finds wide applications
in many processes such as filling and sealing, casting, encapsulating,
laminating, adhesive bonding and winding.
Product types and applications:
The three types of ANY1001, ANY1002, ANY1008 made by our factory are
available.
The type of ANY-1001 has pale colour and low viscosity. Its colour
remains unchanged after accelerating agent is added to it, and it
has few gas bubbles. So it is especially suited for the white filling
and sealing process.
The type of ANY-1002 is a pale yellow and transparent liquid, and
it has moderate viscosity. It is generally applied in processes such
as casting, pultrusion and winding.
The type of ANY-1008 is a new product, which is developed on the basis
of ANY-1001. In addition to advantages of ANY-1001, it also has the
advantages of having even fewer gas bubbles and even lower viscosity.
Thus, it is more favourable for the pipelining operation, and an ideal
product for replacing the imported counterpart.
Formulation:
The customer can choose the desirable product types and their proper
quantity, the product types include epoxy resin, accelerating agent,
filling materials, toughening agent and active diluting agent. An
ideal formulation can be obtained by the small-sample test.
Reference conditions for the curing
process:
Take 100 fraction of E-type epoxy resin, 80 fraction of ANY-1002 and
0.2-0.5 fraction of the above said accelerating agent and mix them
proportionally. Debubble the mixture at 60-70℃. Then the mixture
is kept at 100℃ for 2 hours, and at 120-150℃ for 4-10 hours. The
temperatures and time at the post-phase are determined based upon
the volume of cured compound and actual process conditions.

ANY Series of Methyl Hexahydrophthalic Anhydride

Performance characteristics:
Methyl hexahydrophthalic anhydride is obtained from
methyl tetrahydrophthalic anhydride by a process of catalytic hydrofinishing.
It is a high performance product among the liquid acid anhydride
curing agents. Besides the same performance as methyl tetrahydrophthalic
anhydride has, including high purity, pale color, low volatility,
good mutual solubility, low toxicity, low loss on heating, stable
performance, long service life, low freezing point and long period
storage at room temperature, it also has more advantageous performance
as follows: It has pale color, and is a colorless and transparent
liquid. Its color remains unchanged after accelerating agent is
add, except for the inherent color of accelerating agent. The correspondent
epoxy cured compound has pale color and high transparency. The compound
has good heat-resistance, especially at 150℃; It has excellent
mechanical and electrical performance, weatherability, strong Ultraviolet
resistance; Its distortion temperature is high; It is free from
the influence of light-heat, and it has good wet resistance and
corrosion resistance.
Main applications:
In addition to the superior electrical and mechanical performance,
methyl hexahydrophthalic anhydride has the more outstanding performance,
namely pale color and good transparency, which enables it to be
used in LBD. It has favorable weatherability and UV resistance,
therefore, it is suitable to be used in electric appliances which
function in the open air lastingly. In addition, it also has a relatively
long service cycle and high distortion temperature, so it can find
much wider applications, in comparison with methyl tetrahydrophthalic
anhydride.
Formulation:
The customer can refer to the formulation of methyl tetrahydrophthalic
anhydride. For instance, 100 fraction of bisphenol A epoxy resin,
75-90 fraction of methyl hexahydrophthalic anhydride and 0.5-1 fraction
of accelerating agent (DMP-30).
Curing conditions:
This formulation method and curing conditions are provided only
for your reference. The varieties of materials used, amount added,
curing temperatures and time can be determined by the customer based
upon actual process requirements.
